Every Child, Every Chance, Every Day
20 March 2020 (by admin)
As I’m sure you are aware the Government has instructed the closure of all schools in England and in accordance with that instruction Shade School will be closed from 5pm on Friday 19th March.
As a nation however, we must make provision for certain groups of children and therefore school remains open to only these children from Monday 23rd March.
However the government guidance is clear the ‘schools to remain open for those children who absolutely need to attend’ ‘the fewer children making the journey to school and the fewer children in educational setting, the lowere risk that the vurus can spread and infect’
Your child will be coming home with a pack to support them during this time and on the home page of the website are 2 links to further resources that may assist. Please do not feel pressure to try and replicate school ; do whatever you can, when you can.
They will also be bringing a selection of libary books home for them to read.
Teachers will text their class via the text service once a week and if they add anything to their class page on the website they will let you know via this method.
Whilst the school is closed, our duty and responsibility to safeguarding our pupils remains. If you need extra help and support at some point during the period of school closure, then please email Mrs Clarkson and either her or another member of staff will telephone you to see how they can help.
These are unprecedented times and we appreciate you, like us, are adapting to these very unusual circumstances that we find ourselves in. Teachers are doing their best to adapt to the situation and should you have any specific queries relating to your children’s learning during this time, please email using the address above so that your query can be passed on
We hope you and your families stay safe and well and we look forward to welcoming you back as soon as possible.
Helen Clarkson and all the team at Shade.
