What To Do if Your Child Tests Positive While School is Closed for the Holidays
17 December 2020 (by Justine Sutcliffe (justine))
Let us hope that all of us manage to steer clear of the virus and are able to enjoy our Christmas break, even if it is a little different to normal.
If your child tests positive or develops symptoms less than 48 hours after they were last in school, I am legally bound to inform the class that the child is in and they must isolate for 2 weeks. If this happens before 3.30 pm on Sunday 20th December then I ask that you email me on email@example.com and I will follow the appropriate procedures.
If your child tests positive for coronavirus (COVID-19), having developed symptoms more than 48 hours since being in school ,i.e. after 3.30pm on Sunday 20th December then the school should not be contacted. Parents and carers should follow contact tracing instructions provided by NHS Test and Trace.
As ever, we are very grateful for the support that you give us. We have such a great team at Shade; staff, parents, children and together we have make this school strong.
